Children’s Ministries, Why Not?

Why have Children’s Ministries?
My question to you would be why not?!!
We’ve probably all heard the statistics that 85% of people who accept Christ do it before they pass age 12. After that, the percentage drops drastically. That’s why I believe in children’s ministry in every church. If we are able to plant seed early, and nurture it as the years go on, the crop keeps getting better and better.

Are your kids looking in the wrong places?
Our society is intrigued and obsessed with the supernatural. Hollywood, mainstream television, media groups, and writers have produced films, shows, documentaries, segments, books, and literature depicting what they believe to be the essence of the supernatural. Recently, while in a major retail store, I was amazed at the number of people purchasing the newest Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The woman in front of me had three copies. In that moment, God reminded me that people want the supernatural; they’re simply looking for it in the wrong places.

Children Are a Sign of God’s Favor

“Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him,” says Psalm 127:3 (NIV) . . . which means, of course, that children are God’s gift and a sign of his favor.
With such a blessed gift from God comes great responsibility! All of us who comprise the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God are well aware that the most precious heritage we have is the fruit of the family: our boys and girls. We are so blessed with the thousands of sons and daughters that are in the congregations of our 530 NTD churches.
